The activities are part of a wider programme being planned by Horsham District Council, West Sussex County Council and Public Health England in response to the increased demand to provide support for young people regarding health and wellbeing. Understanding your teenagers behaviour

Additionally, support is available for parents including a free six week Understanding Teenage Behaviour Course which starts on 10 November and is being held in Horsham from 7pm-9.30pm. This course is designed to support communication between parents and teenagers.

This course is funded by the District Council but places are limited. To book a space or find out more please contact communitysafety@horsham.gov.uk

Commenting on the programme, Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for Community Matters and Wellbeing Cllr Claire Vickers said:

"Young people’s emotional wellbeing is important at all times but the pandemic has made us even more aware of the need to ensure that they have access to activities which will improve their engagement with other people and make trusted support available."

"I am really pleased that we have worked with key partners to host these various sessions and events to help young people and parents at this time, both signposting them to appropriate resources and giving them the opportunity to meet up with other people and talk about their feelings with like-minded people and professional support workers."
