A new sensory garden has opened at Angmering Library, offering residents a peaceful outdoor space to read, relax and connect with others.
The garden has been developed in partnership with local community groups and is designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages. It provides a welcoming setting where visitors can explore their senses, spend time outdoors and take part in library life in a different way.
The project has been made possible thanks to a donation in memory of Roy Huse, who worked as a West Sussex librarian between 1970 and 1992.
Library staff hope the garden will become a valued community space, giving residents somewhere calm and accessible to enjoy during library opening hours.
The new garden adds to the range of services and facilities already available at Angmering Library, which is based on Arundel Road.
The library is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1pm to 5pm. It is also open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 1pm. The library is closed on Sundays and bank holidays.
