West Sussex health and wellbeing leaders to discuss Covid-19

Health leaders will be given an update on the county’s Covid-19 response during the next meeting of the West Sussex Health & Wellbeing Board which will take place this week.

Members will provide feedback on a report by the West Sussex Covid-19 Local Outbreak Engagement Board, which is a sub-group formed last year to help reduce the spread of infection across the county.

The Health & Wellbeing Board will meet online from 10.30am on Thursday 24 June. It will be the first meeting to be chaired by Councillor Bob Lanzer, the County Council’s new Cabinet Member for Public Health & Wellbeing.

The Health & Wellbeing Board will also welcome Julie Phillips, the County Council’s Head of Adults Safeguarding and Annie Callanan, the Chairman of the West Sussex Safeguarding Adults Board (WSSAB) who will present the West Sussex Safeguarding Adults Board Annual Report 2020/21.

Also on the meeting agenda is a discussion on the Healthwatch West Sussex Annual Report 2020/21, which will be introduced by Healthwatch’s Chief Officer, Sally Dartnell.

The Health & Wellbeing Board aims to reduce the health inequalities gap and improve the health and wellbeing of all West Sussex residents.

You can see the full agenda on the West Sussex County Council website, where you will also be able to watch the meeting live via webcam.
