A man from Brighton has been charged in connection with an alleged breach of a Part 4 Terrorist Notification Order.
Counter Terrorism Policing South East said 58-year-old Abubaker Deghayes, of Chadborn Close, Brighton, was charged on Thursday 1 October.
He is accused of failing to comply with notification requirements, contrary to section 54 of the Counter Terrorism Act 2008.
The charge follows an investigation led by Counter Terrorism Policing South East.
Deghayes was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 1 October.
