
Thousands of students across the South will receive their A-level results this morning.
For some, it will be good news, but for others who are anxious and worried that they haven’t done so well.
In Sussex, young people who are feeling stressed or anxious during this period can text the word SUSSEX to 85258 to be connected to a qualified mental health professional for a real-time text-based conversation and mental health support.
It puts young people in touch with a mental health professional straight away.
Dr Oliver Dale, Chief Medical Officer for Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, said: "Waiting for and receiving exam results can be an anxious time for young people. It's normal to feel some anxiety but if those feelings are becoming overwhelming, it's important to seek help."
LOCAL RESULTS
Here's a breakdown of the results in the V2 Radio region, which covers Hampshire, West Sussex and East Sussex. These are the percentages of students receiving C and above.
Hampshire – 79.2%
In West Sussex – 76.8%
in East Sussex - 81.5 %

In West Sussex, the County Council’s careers team is on hand to support anyone who didn’t get the grades they hoped for, needs help securing a university place, or is exploring further education, training or employment options.

In East Sussex - students can get help from Careers East Sussex
In Hampshire, the Hampshire Futures Exam Results Helpline will be open on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 August, from 9am to 3pm. Students can call 03707 796 122 or email careers.service@hants.gov.uk for advice, with more information available at www.participationandlifelonglearning.co.uk.
The Hampshire Futures website also signposts mental wellbeing resources, including videos and guidance on all post-16 options. There is tailored support for students with special educational needs and advice for parents and carers on helping young people through the transition.
