West Sussex Fire and Rescue are at the scene of a fire in Angmering on Greenwood Road.
The blaze has taken hold of the 1st floor of a property, and on social media, WSF&R are asking people to avoid the area and keep doors and windows closed if you live nearby.
A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said: “We were called at 3pm this afternoon to reports of a fire in Greenwood Drive, Angmering.
“Joint Fire Control mobilised four fire engines to the scene.
“Upon arrival crews found a fire on the first floor of the property. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using hose reels.
“Crews remain on scene damping down to ensure there are no further hot spots.
