Mum from Bracklesham Bay with terminal cancer reaches funding goal to help save her life

A mother from Bracklesham Bay has raised the £100,000 needed for life-saving cancer treatment in Mexico.

Camilla Chapman, 40, was diagnosed with terminal stage 4 stomach cancer in February. The mum of four says she’s overwhelmed by the support that’s helped her reach the funding goal.

Speaking to V2 Radio last week, Camilla said: “I know I have stage four cancer, but I’m not going to be a statistic. I’ll do everything I can to recover and keep being a mum to my children.”

She’s now in contact with the private hospital in Mexico, which has confirmed it’s ready to receive her. The only hurdle left is getting her Haemoglobin and iron levels stable—after that, she plans to travel.

Camilla will continue documenting her journey on social media, sharing what the experience is like, and has thanked the thousands of people who helped make the treatment possible.
