Staff at South East Coast Ambulance Service have begun receiving new conflict resolution training - as new figures show a rise in reports of abuse towards workers.

Over 1420 incidents of verbal or physical abuse were recorded by crews and control staff last year - 14 per cent higher than in 2022.

The trust has already rolled out body-worn technology to protect staff.
