The Wastewater Treatment plant located in Lavant has experienced the highest number of sewage spills in the entire Sussex region.
According to the latest data, last year, the storm overflow into the River Lavant released sewage 286 times which lasted for a total of over 6-thousand hours.
Meanwhile there's some good news, Southern Water has announced a storm overflow reduction plan worth 1.5 billion pounds and stated that the last 18 months have been the rainiest period on record.
