Prime Minister Speaks to Retailers in Horsham

The Prime Minister has been in Horsham talking about protection for shop workers.

Rishi Sunak met with retailers yesterday - Figures from the British Retail Consortium suggest that, on average, there are 150 assaults on staff a day.

Assaulting a shop worker is to be made a separate criminal offence in England and Wales; anyone found guilty of attacking a shop worker under the new law could be jailed for six months.
