Investigators from the National UFO Reporting Centre are looking into a reported sighting of a glowing orb over Bognor Regis.
According to information published on its website, the object was seen at around 10 o’clock at night on the 2nd of April.
Witnesses reported seeing a glowing orb in the sky, which appeared to remain completely still for a period of time. It then disappeared, briefly reappeared, and vanished again.
The sighting has now been logged with the National UFO Reporting Centre, an organisation which records and reviews reports of unidentified aerial phenomena from members of the public.
No explanation has yet been given for the object seen over Bognor Regis.
Reports of unusual lights in the sky can sometimes be linked to aircraft, drones, satellites, lanterns, weather conditions or reflections, but some sightings remain unexplained at the time they are reported.
The National UFO Reporting Centre collects details such as the time, date, location, shape, movement and duration of sightings, before publishing reports online.
However, V2 Radio's very own Neale Bateman might've cracked the case. He is an avid weather watcher and has his own weather station near Bognor Regis. He says, "It was full Moon on 2nd April. Also rather foggy in Bognor at 10pm and much low cloud, there, solved it!"
